Wow so... I have been away for a LONG time... wanna know why? I spent New Year's in the hospital, being treated for dangerously high blood sugar and dehydration and SEVERE Ketoacidosis. I was surprised to learn that I am diabetic. Yup. Type 1 auto immune diabetic. For the past 6 months I have been working to learn how to eat within my new rules, work with a physical therapist to regain some of the weight I lost (i'm currently about 30 lbs underweight) and rebuild the muscles that were damaged by the prolonged ketoacidosis.
